Getting Notified of New Reviews

ReviewCatalyst automatically sends you an email notification whenever a new review is posted. You can customize when and how you receive these alerts.

Customize Your Notifications

Step 1: Access Notification Settings

1. Click Settings in the top navigation
2. Click Notifications in the left sidebar
3. Find New Review Notification and click Edit

Step 2: Choose Your Alert Method

You can receive notifications via:

• Email — Sent to your registered email address
• Slack — Posted directly to your Slack workspace (if connected)

Toggle ON the channels you want to use.

Step 3: Filter By Rating & Source

Don’t want to be notified on every review? Set custom rules:

By Rating:

• Get notified on all reviews
• Only negative reviews (1-2 stars)
• Only positive reviews (4-5 stars)
• Custom rating range

By Source:

• All sources (Google, Facebook, Yelp, etc.)
• Specific sources only (e.g., only Google reviews)

Example: “Notify me only on Google 1-3 star reviews”

Step 4: Save Your Settings

Click Save and you’re done. Your new notification rules are now active.

Supported Notification Channels

• Email ✅ — Default option
• Slack ✅ — Available if Slack is connected to your account

Need to Change Something?

Go back to Settings → Notifications anytime to adjust your rules, disable notifications, or change email addresses.
